Race | Duathlon Sunday, March 09, 2008 (PST) - Clumber Duathlon Congrats to all those who competed at Clumber. Clarkey was knocked off his bike.He has broken the neck of his femur. He is in Bassettlaw hospital probably till Weds. He isn't allowed to walk for 6 weeks. He says if anyone wants to pop around to his house for  a cup of tea, they would be more than welcome. He opted for a 'local' rather than the knockout drops and then watched on a screen as they inserted 3 pins. He says it was fascinating!! The more shocking news is that he was knocked off his bike by a fellow competitor who hit him from behind. This guy stayed on his bike but then continued the race without stopping.
