The next Hathersage Hilly Triathlon (promoted and organised by Sheffield Triathlon Club) will take place on 20th July 2008 - enter online (with Entrycentral.com), based at Hathersage Swimming Pool. You can find a selection of last year's photos in our HHT2007 Gallery. This highly successful and popular triathlon event takes advantage of the beautiful countryside the Peak District has to offer. Centred on Hathersage, which lies in the Hope Valley, in the centre of the Peak District. Perhaps surprisingly the town is within easy each of many large populations - centre of Sheffield (30 mins), Manchester (1 hour), Stockport (1 hour), Nottingham (1 hour), and Derby (1 hour). STC, for our the first time, are working with its partners to stage this fun event. The HHT will put a smile on your face whether you are tri-ing for the first time, or a seasoned competitor looking for a new and interesting event to participate in. The swim takes place in Hathersage open air, heated swimming pool (wetsuits will not be needed!). The pool is 30m long and so will give you plenty of room from your seeded start time to swim 420m before setting off on the bike leg. Enjoy the poolside fresh air, but you will be getting plenty more as the 19.4km bike leg sets off down the Hope Valley (full route details to follow). The approx 7km run combines road and off-road running at a pace that allows you to take in more of the beautiful surround National Park scenary. You'll experience a few climbs and descents along the way before a final surge for the finish and hopefully loud applause from the crowd at the finish. 	New Events 2008 S. Yorks 5 Mile Road Race 1 2008 events are - 16-Apr: Hayfield (Donny); 23-Apr: Penistone; 30-Apr: Dinnington; 14-May: Worsborough: 1900 start. Clumber Duathlon Congrats to all those who competed at Clumber. Clarkey was knocked off his bike.He has broken the neck of his femur. He is in Bassettlaw hospital probably till Weds. He isn't allowed to walk for 6 weeks. JE James 2008 Westfield Aquathon Race V This race on April 13th is a club championship race and the last one in this year's series.
