JE James Summer Series Results Posted

Posted by on Friday, May 02, 2008 (PST)

See the results section of the website for results of the 1st race of the JE James Summer Series 2008.

The weather was kind for the first race of Sheffield Tri Club’s Summer Series 2008 at Fairholmes.  A decent turnout of 28 people entered the event.

Congratulations to James Allen on a fairly convincing win.  James is currently not a member of STC so the gauntlet has been thrown down to our membership to lead the field in the rest of the series.

Thanks to Guy Wreggitt, Dave Harris and others for volunteering to organise and time keep.

Unfortunately, there were a couple of people who did not have their times recorded.  This highlights the need for more volunteers at each event (min 3, ideally 4 or more) to ensure they run smoothly, and who knows, with enough people we may be able to record transition times in the future too.

Having said that, it’s not like Guy and Dave to miss people in lycra – especially as two of them were female!

Next race is Thursday 15 May at Fairholmes Car Park by Ladybower Reservoir/Derwent Dam. Registration 6.30pm.  Volunteers please contact Dave Harris on 0114 230 6874 or at membership@sheffieldtriclub.com
