Thanks for your orders to date. I actually send the order off on Tuesday so you have until Monday lunchtime at the very latest. You are now all down on my list !!
Andy B - good to hear from you.
Brother beyond - no worries or ignorance there. Bib shorts/tights are either cycling shorts or longs. The bib part comes in because they don't have that annoying elastic waistband but they fit closely around the waist and then have straps which go over the shoulder to keep them up. A cycling jersey is then worn over the top so you don't see the straps.
Sorry it's not a very good explanation at all
!! I've made them sound stupid, but they really are very comfortable and, I think, better than a waistband. You're down for the short sleeve jersey.

A bib short is a vest sewn into a pair of shorts, No zip, no buttons, no velcro.

Hi
Morag does the hoodies and they are £30. We have t-shirts which are £15.
Our tri suits are 2XU but they won't be available until end of Feb when the stock arrives, basically in the country. So once Alex at La Bicicletta has the stock I will ask for first orders. We wear black suits with the club logo/name on front and back and then we also put the member's name on the kit, if wanted. If you look out on the forum over the next few weeks I'll add a new thread about tri suits and when the order date will be. They usually take a maximum of a month to come through once I place the order.
Swimming caps - I'm looking into prices for these at the moment as they will be useful when we kick the open water swimming off and also for most of the women swimmers in general.
Hope this is all ok.

I was told April so a few weeks yet. I'll contact Racescene tomorrow (they're closed on a Monday) and see if they can find out any lead times.

Hi All
Our order is almost ready and will be shipped as soon as it is. Shipment takes 3 days, I then need to go to Barnsley to collect it and sort it. I am anticipating next. Please don't shoot me if I'm wrong! But fingers crossed.
I'll notify individual members when I've sorted their order to arrange drop off/collection and how much they owe.

Hi
Just to keep you up to day with developments. I've been in touch with Racescene who are having trouble contacting Bergamo because they have just moved site. Last time contact was made (3 weeks ago) they said our assignment was almost ready. Richard is going to keep trying and as soon as he informs me of any developments I'll post on here.

I've just got off the phone with Racescene who have finally spoken to Italy. They are, so they say, finishing off out consignment next week with a view to shipping next Friday, or thereabouts.
Shipping takes about 3 working days so I anticipate the cycling kit being here in a couple of weeks.
I'll post on here as soon as I have it and I'll let everybody know via individual mail the next steps for collection and payment etc.

Just trying to keep you up to date with slow happenings.
I spoke to Richard at Racescene today who sent Bergamo an email last week and they didn't reply. I spoke to Richard today and asked for the contact name and number for Bergamo and I told Richard that I am going to phone. In the meantime Richard sent - this afternoon after our conversation - another email asking again what's happening and to tell them I as going to phone and that I was fuming. They suddenly decided to reply and they have said that they are shipping our kit on 18 May and it'll take three days from then, so we're looking at 21 May.
I will be contacting Bergamo too just to keep the pressure on them and I will be emailing them on the 17th to make sure our stuff is ready to send on the 18th.
I have been contemplating changing supplier but this will mean that half the club will be in current cycling kit and another half in a change of kit. It wouldn't give a massive team impact. Also by the time I've got samples from different suppliers, gone down a costly design service and ordered, it would realistically be this time next year that we would be getting kit.
I have, therefore, decided to stay with Bergamo and we'll just have to put our orders in very early. I think it best then that as soon as this kit comes through we place our winter order. Richard has already placed his winter order and I think we need to order winter kit in April and summer kit in October. That way we are better placed to get our kit for when we want it. It will take a short time to get this up and running so please bear with me whilst I make the slow change over.
I'll keep you all posted of developments and sorry it seems to have taken so long, it's not through slackness at my or Racescene's end.
Vicky

Hi Vicky
Maybe the idea of a new supplier wouldn't be a bad idea. Once this order is out the way of course.
Surely a new supply of kit would all match up if the right pattern was designed right. It just wouldn't say bergamo on it.Plus people who want a bergamo jacket to match their bergamo shorts could maybe have a last chance to order.
Plenty other people who will make kit. After all if a shop takes a long time to get you a product you go elsewhere.
Don't let them take the pi$$.
Thanks for the hard work though as per normal.
