Friday 16th November 2018 was the date of the 2018 Presentation Evening, held at Omega at Abbeydale. Thanks to Nicola Heaton for all the organisation, the night was a great success.
Following a five course meal, the presentation (led by Jim Lafferty) began with a minutes applause for John B Clarke, before the awards winners were announced.

Outstanding achievement
Yvonne Twelvetree. Being fairly new to the sport from a running background, Yvonne competed at the Europeans in Ibiza, has qualified for the worlds next year and is competing at 10k for England next year. She trains so hard, races prolifically and above all is bloody lovely!
Ron Shepherd
Jointly awarded to John Clarke and Jim Lafferty. For the shear amount of behind the scenes effort he puts into the running of the club, always making time to do things and always with enthusiasm and a smile, Jim Lafferty was jointly awarded this together with John Clarke. So much has been said recently about John and quoting one of those who nominated him: ‘Occasionally in life you meet someone who you walk away from smiling. However rubbish your day is they make you smile, make you happy, make you feel confident, however unsure or shy you are. John was one of those amazing people’.
Wooden Spoon
Adam Newell. For various things including entering the Great Swim Run and still not knowing what it involved shortly before the event.
Plank Competition
Margo Duncan, holding off the challenge of Matt Reed to take the crown on the dancefloor.
