About the Event
Coached run sessions at Millhouses Park from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
Each session will start with a combined warm-up and run-specific drills designed to improve running efficiency and reduce the likelihood of injury. This will be followed by approximately 30 to 40 minutes of interval training which means running for short bursts at a higher intensity than you are used to, followed by intervals of recovery. It works both the aerobic and anaerobic system; in short, consistently applied interval training helps you to run for a longer time at a faster pace. That will be our goal over the next few months.
Bob Pringle will be leading the sessions joined by other experienced members of the coaching team. For the first session we suggest we meeting at around 6:50 pm by the café. Please bring a headtorch as the light starts to fade through September.
